Who is Tfue?

Tfue is a competitive Fortnite Battle Royale player, personality and professional e-sports gamer. He rose to fame when he became known as one of the best players in the world for Fortnite. He qualified for the Fortnite World Cup in 2019, ultimately placing 67th, and is one of the most popular Fortnite streamers on Twitch. His streaming style is brash and honest, and is respected as one of the best Fortnite players in the game.

Tfue, whose real name is Turner Tenney, rose to fame when he began competing in Fortnite Battle Royale. Before Fortnite, he played games such as Destiny, H1Z1 and PUBG and transitioned to Fortnite once it's popularity began exploding. During this time, most players were overshadowed by Ninja who was Fortnite's number 1 streamer at the time. But Tfue manage to grab the spotlight when he began competing in Fortnite Friday (a weekly tournament which was streamed on Twitch.tv) as one of the best players in the game. His skill level was unmatched by many players and he quickly rose as one of Fortnite's most popular stars. Tfue regularly gets tens of thousands of viewers on Twitch, and during Ninja's move to Mixer in 2019, Tfue became the number one streamer on the platform undisputedly. He is often praised for his aiming skills using Fortnite weapons and his ability to build.

Tfue regularly streams competitive gameplay, including his run in the Fortnite World Cup Solos and the Fortnite Friday competition which is held weekly. His stream allows players to view high-skill based Fortnite gameplay, of which many players aim to measure themselves against in order to compete and be at the top.

During 2019, Tfue qualified for the Fortnite World Cup Solos twice. During the Fortnite World Cup, Tfue placed in 67th position, earning $50,000 USD for his placement. He managed to accumilate a total of 7 points which was ultimately a disappointing end to a hyped up campaign.

Tfue signed for Faze Clan in April 2018 but later sued them for an unfair contract, in which he created a video addressing the terms that he was under. The dispute arose from issues regarding earnings being taken by Faze Clan for Tfue's effort in tournaments, his streaming revenue and other sponsorship deals.
