Best Monitors For Valorant
Valorant is the latest first-person shooter craze on Twitch that combines the intense tactical gameplay of Counter-Strike: Global Offensive with the teamplay-oriented, ability-based hero shooters popularised by Overwatch. The game's small maps, combined with its focus on tight aiming skills make for an experience that will test any FPS fans mettle.

Despite having heroes - known as Agents - with abilities, the core focus of Valorant's gameplay is its guns and team communication. The objective in each map is inspired by CS: GO's bombing maps where one team has to plant a device called a Spike in one of two sites. The opposing team must either stop them from planting the Spike or defuse before it detonates. Both teams can claim victory if they eliminate the other team's Agents.
Abilities range from location-revealing arrows, similar to Overwatch's Hanzo, to health-restoring orbs and vision-denying vortexes. Each agent has persistent access to one Signature ability that recharges over time and an Ultimate that must be charged over a period of several rounds. The other two have to be bought during the Buy phase of each round.
The game was developed by Riot Games of League of Legends fame as their second title to deviate from the MOBA formula that made the studio what it is today. Valorant is still currently in beta that can only be accessed by watching Twitch streams with Drops enabled. This decision on Riot's part proved to be relatively controversial for the streaming world as lots of streamers have opted to run 24/7 broadcasts comprised mostly of reruns.
As Valorant is a game where being aware of your surroundings and having a clear shot at your opponent's forehead is important, playing on a solid monitor will definitely be an edge. One of the best monitors for FPS games at the moment is the LG 27LG83A. This beast boasts a 27 inch IPS panel that doesn't just deliver a crystal clear and fibrant picture but also has the fastest refresh rate for its price point. This means that you can trust your reactions and aim without worrying about input lag.
One of the monitor's most unique features is its custom crosshair overlays that make aiming more clear and precise for games that don’t offer crosshair customisation. This eliminates the need for a decal sticker that could potentially damage the outer coating of your monitor. At $380 dollars, the LG 27GL83A is a great bargain if you're serious about Valorant.
