Laptops for PUBG
PUBG has become one of the most popular games on the internet, garnering hundreds of thousands of views on Twitch.tv and hundreds of thousands of sales. Although the full game isn't out until December, you can play the early-access version on Steam right now.
PUBG is a game that needs a powerful machine to run. Whilst the minimum system requirements are reasonable, gameplay at that level will be very choppy and give you low FPS. For this reason, we recommend only going for high-end laptops with a good graphics card.
Of course, you can lower the settings in the game to make it run smoother on lower-systems but for best gameplay experience, you'll want a powerful machine. Some tips on System Requirements can be found on this wiki page.
The minimum system requirements are:
- OS: 64-bit Windows 7, Windows 8.1, Windows 10
- Processor: Intel Core i3-4340 / AMD FX-6300
- Memory: 6 GB RAM
- Graphics: nVidia GeForce GTX 660 2GB / AMD Radeon HD 7850 2GB
- DirectX: Version 11
- Network: Broadband Internet connection
- Storage: 30 GB available space

FAQ for PUBG Laptops
Why do I need such an expensive laptop to run PUBG?
Although the spec requirements are low(ish) for running the game, on a laptop you need a lot more power behind it. You don't want your laptop to overheat when it's processor is running at max as that will damage the components. A higher end laptop will mean the processor will have to work less and keep your computer cooler.
What are the alternatives to playing PUBG on a laptop?
The game is coming to Xbox One soon, so if you already own the Xbox One console, you don't need to purchase a new laptop to play it as the game will be optimized to play on XB1.
