Dauntless was released for Windows on May 2018 as a free-to-play title and has gone on to be extremely popular, with both PS4 and Xbox One getting releases in 2019. The game allows players to hunt monsters known as Behemoths, whilst using loot they get from defeating these creatures to upgrade their weapons and then take on even stronger Behemoths. The game can also be played in Co-op mode with up to four other friends. The game provides season passes known as Hunt Passes, which allow players to unlock various cosmetics and skins whilst hunting monsters. These season passes require real money to pay for, but since the base-game is completely free, it might be worth it if you enjoy the game.
Dauntless is the first studio game by Phoenix Labs, which was formed by former Riot games developers (League Of Legends). Since releasing Dauntless in May 2018, they have kept the game constantly updated with new patches, with plenty of quality of life changes, new upgrades and features as well as fixing known issues. The game used to have "Loot Boxes" in them but they were removed after player criticism and thus opted for the more Season Pass formulae similiar to Fortnite Battle Royale.
